The software generates timetables based on complex requirements for small and large primary or secondary schools, combined schools and Colleges.

Program capacity

  • Up to 15 Grades or Levels and up to 25 classes or groups per Grade or Level.
  • 1 to 14 day cycles and days of differing lengths and breaks at different times.
  • Up to 225 periods per cycle, 300 classrooms or venues, 300 educators or lecturers, 300 subjects or learning areas.
  • Subject combinations or sets of up to 20 subjects.

  • Overrides make it possible to schedule part-time educators and staff meetings.
  • Scarce resources or shared venues are catered for to avoid clashes between educators using them.
  • Educators may be allocated to one or more venues.
  • A planning facility makes it possible to create the most effective combination groups to cater for individual students. Alternatively pre-determined combinations may be used.
  • Once a timetable has been created an adjust facility may be used to reposition periods for the entire institution, single subjects or combination periods
  • The program will automatically prevent changes which would violate overrides, move reserved periods or create clashes elsewhere in the timetable
  • The number of days in the teaching cycle as well as the number of periods per day can be set.
  • Period or Lesson times can be specified for each period on different days in the cycle.
  • Reserved periods may be specified for activities involving the whole institution or some sections only
  • On-screen help (which is also printable) is available at any stage of data capture via an index or floating pop-up contextual help screens.
  • Numerous print outs are available at any stage of data capture to enable the user to check on data already captured and modify it where changes are needed.
  • Timetables can be printed or downloaded to CSV files.

  • Data can be amended after creating a timetable or can be sorted in ascending or descending order.
  • The program offers feedback when data captured is infeasible.
  • Data which has been captured may be edited at any stage before creating a timetable.
  • A copy facility further reduces time needed to capture data which may be duplicated for different groups.
  • On screen help is available via an index or from a detailed list of topics or via floating pop-up contextual help screens. All Help screens are also printable.
  • Pop-up assist boxes coupled with extensive mouse point and click functions reduce the need for typing.
  • A print preview facility enables users to check results before printing them out.
  • A tool bar includes short cut and navigation buttons.
